Description

A client of ours in the Greater Sacramento area is looking to bring on a Senior Network Engineer. This is a 12-month temporary opportunity that will allow the individual to be flexibly remote (~2 onsite days / week). The Network Engineer is responsible for providing custom technical support and a variety of tailored network solutions.

The Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for the following:

• Provide on-site testing and technical support during solution deployment.

• Produce accurate documentation and effective and timely communication of the status of assigned tasks team members.

• Provide feedback for continuous improvement to project planning and standard operating procedures.

• Assist in projects and service calls as directed.

• Effectively articulate necessary technical and non-technical information in a simple and concise manner over the telephone or via e-mail.

• Must meet or exceed individual performance goals as developed and reviewed.

• Follow company policies and procedures to ensure service delivery adheres to established processes.

• Complete any required training and development objectives, where applicable, within the assigned time frame; maintain relevant certifications.

Requirements

The Senior Network Engineer will meet ALL the mandatory qualifications (within the last 10 years):

• Has 5+ years of in depth understanding of Cisco IOS

• Has 5+ years of in depth understanding of Cisco NXOS

• Has 2+ years of in depth experience with Palo Alto Networks (PAN) Firewalls

• Has 5+ years of Cisco ASA Firewalls

• Has 5+ years of Cisco EIGRP

• Has 5+ years of Cisco BGP

• Has 5+ years of Cisco HSRP

• Has 5+ years of Cisco VRF Lite

• Has 5+ years of Cisco VSS

• Has 5+ years of Cisco ISE

• Has 1+ years of Network maintenance and support experience.

• Has Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP).

• Nice to have: Cisco DNA Center
