Robert Half is seeking skilled candidates for a Financial Analyst position. If you want to become a key business partner in forecasting, performance reporting, and expense management, this Financial Analyst position might be the job for you! If you're good at conducting financial modeling on various financial products, as well as measuring, analyzing and forecasting performance in conjunction with operating plans, you're a good fit for this position. You will be expected to advise management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives and prepare reports for management. Located in the College Park, Maryland, area, this Financial Analyst role is a long-term contract / temporary to hire employment opportunity.

What you get to do every single day

- Operate with Accounting on the monthly and quarterly financial close process

- Work closely with cross-functional partners in Accounting and Operations to execute against plans

- Create effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide forward-looking insight and recommendation support

- Present and monitor forecasting reports

- Function next to senior executives on strategic deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation, and prioritization

- Study performance to date and examine potential risks and opportunities

- Maintain weekly, quarterly and annual Area/Segment-level Bookings and P& L forecasting

- Manage monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions required

- This position would suit a flexible individual that has experience managing large amounts of information and meeting expectations

- Perform extensive research on the underlying internal and external drivers that are affecting performance and trending

- Review annual performance by comparing actual results to their expectations

Requirements

- Financial analysis & planning (go-to-market experience preferable)

- Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools experience a plus

- Closeout experience

- Comprehensive knowledge of Financial Analytics

- Proven knowledge of budget forecasting

- Well-founded grasp of Construction Projects

- Journal Vouchers experience

- Job Cost experience preferred

- Accounting Principles experience required

- Prior knowledge in Spreadsheet and ERP system

- Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills

- BA/BS degree in finance or a related field

- Skills in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly desired (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)

- Eager problem-solver who listens for customer cues and actively resolves problems with grace and integrity

- Strong communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations
