Description

A growing insurance company is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Remote Accounting Support Specialist to join the team! This role will play a pivotal part in our accounting department with duties that include data entry, accounts receivable management, and providing excellent customer service. The successful candidate will have a proven ability to use basic Excel proficiency to organize and document financial data.

Responsibilities:

• Support our accounting department with data entry tasks related to accounts receivable.
• Assist in the collection process and resolve customer billing problems.
• Manage customer communications, responding to queries in a timely and professional manner.
• Apply accepted procedures for recording financial transactions and maintaining financial records.
• Use Excel to analyze data, create spreadsheets and reports.
• Participate in periodic audits as required.
• Follow federal, state, and company policies, procedures and regulations.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in accounting assistance or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of MS Excel and accounts receivable principles.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong data entry skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
• An associate's degree in finance, accounting or a related field is desirable.
