Description

We are in search of an Interim vCISO to steer our cybersecurity efforts as we grow and welcome new clients. The successful applicant will lead our cybersecurity team, focusing on governance, risk management, and compliance (GRC), security engineering, operational security, and product security. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the development and implementation of our cybersecurity roadmap as part of our technology organization

• Ensure robust security engineering practices are in place to safeguard our product stack and code

• Play an active role in GRC, including contract reviews and audits, to meet the requirements of our healthcare clients

• Address and resolve any issues or gaps in our security landscape, particularly in areas like endpoint security and data loss prevention

• Collaborate effectively with other departments in a non-hierarchical culture

• Execute our infosec strategy and ensure its alignment with our business goals

• Handle potential corporate developments like mergers, acquisitions, or IPOs.

Requirements

• Must be a Certified CISO (CCISO)
• Demonstrable experience in cyber security engineering
• Proficient in developing and implementing cyber security strategy
• Proven track record in a similar Interim CISO role
• Excellent leadership and team management abilities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate complex information to a non-technical audience
• Knowledge of current technological trends and developments in the field of cyber security
• Experience in risk assessment, mitigation, and incident response
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Advanced project management skills
• Must be able to work under pressure and within tight deadlines
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and network security
• Familiarity with relevant legal and regulatory requirements
• Ability to create and manage budgets for security operations
