Robert Half Finance & Accounting Contract Talent is currently seeking an experienced Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist to join our client’s team on a temporary basis. This role will support the AP department in processing invoices and utilizing vendor invoice management (VIM) software in conjunction with SAP. The assignment is expected to last 3 months, with an immediate start date once IT setup is completed.

Key Responsibilities:
Process a high volume of accounts payable invoices efficiently and accurately.
Leverage VIM (Vendor Invoice Management) software in conjunction with SAP to manage and process invoices.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures while handling AP tasks.
Assist in resolving invoice discrepancies and partner with vendors as needed.

Qualifications:
At least 1 year of experience in accounts payable, with a focus on VIM software.
Proficiency in SAP and VIM is required.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Position Details:
Work Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
Duration: 3 months.
Start Date: ASAP (IT setup takes approximately one week).
Location: Hybrid if located in St. Louis; remote options available for non-local candidates.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Account Coding is necessary for accurate classification and recording of financial transactions.
• Experience with Accounting Software Systems is required to automate and streamline financial operations.
• Understanding of comprehensive Accounting Functions is essential to perform tasks efficiently.
• Expertise in handling Accounts Payable (AP) is crucial to manage company's financial obligations.
• Knowledge of Accrual Accounting is needed to record revenues and expenses when they are incurred, irrespective of when cash is exchanged.
• Familiarity with Vim is expected for efficient text editing in a command-line interface.
• Experience with OpenText is advantageous for managing and delivering unstructured information.
