Cloud Security Manager (Remote Position)

Description

We are offering a contract for a permanent position as a Cloud Security Manager. The role is based in Lewiston, Maine, and involves working remotely to enhance the organization's cloud security initiatives. The job function entails managing and securing AWS and GCP cloud environments, leading initiatives for architecture improvement, training and mentoring the security team, and ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks such as HITRUST, SOC2, and HIPAA.

Responsibilities:
• Lead initiatives to improve architecture and fill existing gaps in the AWS and GCP cloud environments.
• Manage and secure cloud environments, heavily utilizing Google Workspace and Slack.
• Provide hands-on support, training, and mentorship to the security team.
• Oversee policy and procedure reviews to ensure they exceed regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with Development and Engineering teams for security process integration and improvement.
• Drive the completion and effective implementation of selected security tools.
• Prepare for upcoming regulatory engagements and audit cycles.
• Identify and mitigate risks to ensure strong security postures ahead of regulatory engagements.
• Oversee the management and optimization of tools such as CrowdStrike, TVM tools, Abnormal, and Slack.
• Revamp Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) processes and manage vendor relationships.


Requirements

• Proficiency in Amazon CloudWatch is mandatory.
• Demonstrable experience with Amazon EC2 is essential.
• The candidate must be adept with Ansible.
• Prior experience in using Atlassian Jira is required.
• Familiarity with Auto Scaling is a must.
• Proficient in API Development.
• Automation skills are necessary for this role.
• Comprehensive knowledge of AWS Technologies is required.
• Expertise in Backup Technologies is a key requirement.
• The candidate must possess skills in Cluster Analysis.
• HITRUST certification or experience is highly desirable.
