Description

We are offering a contract for a Full Charge Bookkeeper role in the Agriculture industry, based in Santa Cruz, California. As a Full Charge Bookkeeper, you will be handling full-cycle accounting, managing the general ledger, and overseeing accounts receivable and payable. You will also be responsible for coordinating with an outside payroll service, handling credit card statements, and ensuring cash flow and budgeting are properly managed.

Responsibilities:

• Manage full-cycle accounting operations
• Oversee all aspects of the general ledger
• Handle accounts receivable and accounts payable
• Coordinate with an outside payroll service
• Handle credit card statement reconciliations
• Ensure proper cash flow management and budgeting
• Regularly present financial reports to stakeholders
• Track key metrics and ensure the accuracy of data collected
• Identify and solve problems, drawing valid conclusions from data
• Improve existing accounting processes

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or in a similar role
• Proficient in Accounting Software Systems
• Working knowledge of ADP - Financial Services
• Experience with a Computerized Accounting System
• Familiarity with Great Plains (GPAC) software
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Demonstrated understanding of Accounting Functions
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Ability to create and manage an Annual Budget
• Experience with Cash Flow Analysis
• Industry-specific knowledge in Agriculture is preferred.
