Benefits Administrator
Benefits: Candidates on temporary assignment may qualify for our competitive benefits package which includes group health, life and disability insurance and voluntary benefits such as retirement savings and holiday pay. Salary range: $34.00 to $39.00 hourly

Description

We are looking for a Benefits Administrator based in Tysons Corner, VA. You will be responsible for managing and administering the employee benefits program in an organization. Your key duties include planning and coordinating benefits programs such as life insurance, health insurance, pension plans, and other employee perks. They manage all related paperwork, interact with employees to address benefits queries, ensure compliance with relevant regulatory mandates, and process benefits compensation or claims.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for this role, as Benefits Administrators often interact with employees to explain benefits and resolve related issues. You will also need excellent analytical abilities and attention to detail to manage benefits data accurately. Familiarity with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) is also beneficial.



Requirements

  1.  Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a similar field.
  2. Previous experience in benefits administration or human resources is preferred.
  3. Comprehensive knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws.
  4. Proficiency with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex benefits terms and conditions in a simple and understandable way.
  6. Strong organization skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate record-keeping.
  7. Problem-solving skills to resolve any issues related to employee benefits.
  8. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  9. Certification as a Benefits Professional would be advantageous.(CBP).
  10. Must understand privacy regulations and maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information.
