To support the business, you will ensure security, integrity and high-availability of enterprise systems and related components in order to develop, administer and maintain the network infrastructure. You should be comfortable working with constantly changing software, hardware, network security programs, and data storage systems. It will be crucial for you to stay current and fully informed through ongoing education. This Network Administrator role, located in the Silver Springs, Maryland, area is a short-term contract / temporary opportunity.

Your responsibilities

- Arranging and performing network software and hardware upgrades

- Troubleshooting and resolving local area networks / wide area network performance, connectivity and related network problems

- Administering LAN/WAN security, antivirus and spam control measures

- Administering the operation of all local area networks / wide area network related services according to company policies and procedures

Requirements

- General familiarity with ITIL Processes

- Wide ranging experience with cloud computing

- Earlier work involving Cloud Storage

- ITIL Processes experience

- Previous experience working with Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)

- Quality experience with Load Balancer

- Hands-on experience with network analysis

- Proven knowledge of IT infrastructure libraries

- Skills in TCP/IP Networking

- AWS Technologies experience

- Cisco CCNA experience

- Experience with Computer Network Surveillance

- Amazon Web Services (AWS) experience preferred

- Deep understanding of Microsoft Azure

- Good understanding of Cloud Technologies

- Comprehension of TCP/IP Protocol

- Prior experience with Network Environment

- Well-founded grasp of IT infrastructure libraries

- Solid understanding of Network Infrastructure

- Practical knowledge of Network Load Balancing

- Highly capable of troubleshooting, analyzing and diagnosing issues

- Knowledgeable of network protocols, software and hardware involved in LAN/WAN operations

- 5+ years of relevant experience

- Experience in production environments and willingness to be on-call
