Description

The web developer is responsible for: developing, coding, installing, testing, debugging, and documenting Web applications using current ASP.NET development strategies; reviewing business requirements and technical design for completeness and accuracy, and providing development estimates (effort) for supplied feature enhancement requests; interacting with analysts, production support and other project team members to understand the business and technical requirements; configuring HTTP servers and associated operating systems, establishing appropriate server directory trees; identifying, recommending, and prioritizing new Web features and applications in conjunction with business leaders and department managers; working with the database administrator to design, develop, and update databases as they relate to Web applications; participating in setting organizational Web development strategy; defining Web site architecture and overall site structure as required; conducting research into current and emerging Web technologies and issues in support of Web development efforts; ensuring security of all Web sites and related applications; and monitoring and reporting on Web site traffic and performance.
