Description As a Tier 1 IT Support Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our organization's IT systems. You will be responsible for delivering top-notch technical support to end-users, resolving IT-related problems, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our IT department. Key Responsibilities: End-User Support: Respond promptly to IT support requests from end-users through various channels (phone, email, in-person). Assist users in troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues. Provide guidance on basic IT tasks, including password resets, account setups, and software installations. Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware and software problems on desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices. Escalate complex technical issues to higher-level support teams when necessary. Maintain detailed records of support activities and resolutions. Software Management: Install, configure, and update software applications and operating systems. Ensure compliance with software licensing and update policies. Assist with software deployment and upgrades as needed. Hardware Support: Perform routine hardware maintenance, upgrades, and repairs. Manage IT equipment inventory and maintain accurate asset records. Coordinate hardware warranty and repair services with vendors. User Training: Conduct basic training sessions for end-users on IT tools and software. Create and maintain user-friendly documentation and knowledge base articles. Security Awareness: Promote and reinforce IT security best practices among end-users. Assist in implementing and enforcing security policies and procedures. Report and address security incidents promptly. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate effectively with other IT team members to resolve issues efficiently. Communicate IT updates and announcements to end-users as required.
Requirements A bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field (preferred). Proven experience in providing IT support in a detail oriented setting. Solid knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office Suite. Familiarity with common IT hardware and software components. Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills. Strong customer service orientation. IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified detail oriented) are advantageous.
