Description Job Description: As a Contract Windows System Administrator, you will play a key role in maintaining and optimizing our Windows-based IT systems. Your responsibilities will include system administration, troubleshooting, security management, and collaborating with the IT team to ensure the reliability and performance of our infrastructure during the contract period. Key Responsibilities: - Windows Server Administration:
- Administer and maintain Windows Server environments, including installation, configuration, and updates.
- Monitor server performance and ensure optimal resource utilization.
- Troubleshoot and resolve server-related issues promptly.
- Active Directory Management:
- Manage Active Directory, including user accounts, group policies, and access controls.
- Implement and enforce security policies and best practices.
- Perform regular Active Directory backups and recovery procedures.
- Infrastructure Security:
- Implement and maintain security measures, including firewall configurations, anti-virus solutions, and intrusion detection systems.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and apply necessary patches and updates.
- Collaborate with the security team to ensure compliance with security policies and standards.
- Backup and Disaster Recovery:
- Implement and manage backup solutions to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Develop and test disaster recovery plans and procedures.
- Perform data recovery and restoration as needed.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of system configurations and procedures.
- Generate regular reports on system performance, security, and compliance.
- User Support and Training:
- Provide technical support to end-users and resolve system-related issues.
- Train staff on best practices for using Windows-based systems.
- Project Collaboration:
- Collaborate with IT project teams on system upgrades, migrations, and deployments.
- Assist in planning and executing IT infrastructure projects as required.
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or related field (preferred).
- Proven experience as a Windows System Administrator in an enterprise environment.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server operating systems (e.g., Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019).
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS.
- Experience in implementing and managing security protocols and tools.
- Proficiency in backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSA, MCSE) are a plus.
