Description

Robert Half is hiring an Embedded Software Engineer on a hybrid basis out of Hanover, MD. This role includes developing project requirements, conducting and participating in design reviews, creating documentation packages, and following the project through manufacturing to ensure a successful product deployment. 

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a Computing and/or Engineering related field or equivalent experience is required.
• Strong C/C++ development. C++ at application, C within kernel modules/drivers, C/C++ in firmware.
• Thorough understanding of multi-threading, both in a single and multicore environment
• Experienced on H.264, H.265, MPEG based RTSP streaming applications.
• Knowledge of G streamer, LinuxTV or STLinuxTV frameworks.
• Exposure to architecting and implementation of real time stream protocols.
• Experience with Xilinx development flow and key toolset components (XSDK, Vivado, Petalinux Tool). Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC and Zynq-7000 SOC embedded processor devices
• Driver development in kernel and user space for embedded systems utilizing I2C, SPI, USB, Modbus (RS485/422) and ethernet.
• Good understanding of UBoot development and ARM secure boot process.
• Atmel ARM microcontrollers. Rowley CrossWorks for ARM RTOS.
• Microsoft .NET Framework and Microsoft C#
• Exposure to wireless communications in UHF and microwave bands.
• Able to master new concepts, skills and practices. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to rapidly changing demands.
• Self-starter; able to work independently. Ability to multi-task with attention to detail and timelines.
