Located in Reston, Virginia, the Help Desk Analyst opportunity is a long-term contract / temporary role.
Your responsibilities
- Independently investigate and implement solutions to technical issues
- Resolve technical help tickets submitted via phone, email, and walk-ups
- Offer IT support for operating systems, productivity software, and a variety of other applications used internally
- Spot recurring technical issues and deploy solutions to address the root of the problems
Requirements - Background in user administration and bug fixing in a client server environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Operating System experience highly valued
- Experience with Interpersonal Skills
- Expertise in training
- Prior experience with Computer Skills
- Good understanding of Printing
- Planning experience
- Microsoft Azure experience preferred
- Adeptness in Microsoft Outlook
- Microsoft Excel experience
- Productivity experience highly preferred
- Strong familiarity with Diagnose Problems
- Foundational knowledge in Microsoft Office 365
- Demonstrated knowledge of Troubleshoot
- Practical knowledge of Networking
- Hands-on experience with Principles
- Earlier work involving Deskside Support
- Computer Hardware experience desired
- Background working with Active Directory
- Mac Computers experience highly desired
- Previous experience working with configuration management
- Foundational knowledge in Technical Support
- Knowledge of Peripheral Equipment
- Comprehension of Windows OS
- General familiarity with Microsoft Access
- Microsoft Word experience highly desired
- Basic networking concepts
- Proven experience in installing and configuring operating systems, networked and local printers, and business applications
- Good understanding of IT support ticketing systems
