Description

Robert Half is supporting a client by staffing a Software Developer opening. You'll be right for this position if you can handle being responsible for implementing new features, maintaining existing code, and refactoring existing code across a breadth of products used both internally and externally at the company. This long-term contract / temporary employment opportunity is based in the Mclean, Virginia area.

Key responsibilities

- Maintain and develop new features to internal and external facing software to enhance the customer experience and resolve issues on various operating systems

- Solve and deliver production support

- Produce clear and consistent updates around solutions and time estimate to client-facing program management teams

- Merge with Scrum team to grant careful work estimates

- Regularly perform code-review and collaborate with other developers

Requirements

- Less than one year of experience preferred

- Candidates with familiarity with full-stack development (front-end, to middle/application tier, to database) will be the best fit for this position

- Applicants should have experience with at least one framework/library, e.g. Vue.js, Polymer, Angular.js, React.js, Ractive.js, Knockout.js, Ember.js, Bootstrap, etc.

- Experience crafting, documenting and testing APIs

- Candidates with experience with software development life cycles, e.g. Agile, Big Bang, Spiral, Waterfall, etc., will be the best fit for this position

- Candidates who have knowledge of education standards such as QTI/APIP, SIF, AIF will be preferred

- Candidates who can write clean, standardized code that performs optimally in highly concurrent environments will be the best fit for this position

- Candidates familiar with scrum will be preferred

- JIRA experience desired

- General familiarity with Zephyr

- Proficiency in Jira Service Desk

- Quality experience with Linux Technologies

- Create Workflows experience

- Custom Workflows experience

- Jira Service Management experience preferred

- Practical knowledge of FedRAMP

- Proven knowledge of Plug-ins

- Well-founded grasp of Plugins
