Description

Robert Half is looking for a Data Engineer to ensure that best practices are followed in code development, documentation, and the handling of sensitive data. They will also be required to maintain clear communication with the team regarding progress and any challenges encountered.

• BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field with a strong quantitative focus.
• 3-5 years of experience in Python for developing robust data processing and automation scripts.
• In-depth experience with Google Cloud Platform services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, and Cloud Storage, and expertise with command-line tools for deploying and managing resources.

Requirements

• In-depth experience with Google Cloud Platform services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, and Cloud Storage, and expertise with command-line tools for deploying and managing resources.
• Proficiency in writing SQL queries and developing optimized ETL processes for data systems.
• Demonstrated capability in handling and analyzing large datasets, including proficiency with Excel and CSV data formats.
• Strong foundational understanding of data, with the ability to perform intricate calculations and generate analytical reports.
• Experience in automating data pipelines and scheduling tasks within cloud environments.
• Proficiency in using version control systems, namely GitHub.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of producing comprehensive documentation and process descriptions.
• Acute attention to detail with advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities.
