Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Cyber Security Engineer based in Austin, Texas. This role is centered around maintaining and enhancing the security of our IT infrastructure. The successful candidate will have a strong background in IT infrastructure, system administration and SQL database management. We are seeking an individual with a strong emphasis on Patch Management, RMM and extensive knowledge of DevOps practices and cloud environments such as AWS.
Responsibilities: • Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures and SecOps, focusing on Patch Management and RMM. • Manage and oversee IT infrastructure, system administration, and SQL database management. • Lead strategic IT projects and foster innovation within the team. • Utilize advanced skills in Linux systems, networking, and VMWare. • Incorporate extensive knowledge of DevOps practices and cloud environments like AWS and Google Compute. • Apply proficiency in AI and machine learning technologies to integrate these into cybersecurity solutions. • Utilize skills in Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Checkpoint, Cisco ASA, Cisco Routers, and Cisco Technologies. • Handle Computer Hardware, Configuration Management, Design, Eigrp, and Firewall Technologies. • Apply Cyber Security and Cyber security engineering skills to ensure the security of our systems. • Integrate AI software, AI platforms, and AI engineering into our cybersecurity solutions. • Manage Patch Management, Linux, and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Requirements • Proficiency in Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Checkpoint, Cisco ASA, Cisco Routers, and Cisco Technologies • Comprehensive understanding of Computer Hardware and Configuration Management • Experience in Design, Eigrp, and Firewall Technologies • Expertise in Cyber Security and Cyber security engineering • Familiarity with AI software, AI platforms, and AI engineering • Skilled in Patch Management • Proficiency in using Linux and Amazon Web Services (AWS) • Strong knowledge of Cyber Security Engineering concepts and practices • Proven ability to identify, analyze and address security issues • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle pressure situations • Strong communication and team collaboration skills • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field • Relevant professional certifications would be a plus.
