We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated QA Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance, a deep understanding of scalable testing practices, and the ability to build and lead QA frameworks from the ground up. One of our most important responsibilities is to provide business systems design, development, deployment, and support to our stakeholders. These systems touch both internal and external customers and serve as the foundation that runs the Sumo Logic business; these systems are mission-critical environments and must be able to scale effectively with our growth.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute comprehensive testing scripts to ensure software quality and performance.
• Understand user stories, including their upstream and downstream impacts, to create effective test plans.
• Establish scalable QA practices and frameworks to support long-term growth and efficiency.
• Build robust QA frameworks once scripting criteria and templates are established.
• Define and implement QA processes in a new environment, identifying immediate needs and planning for future scalability.
• Work within Kanban and Agile frameworks, participating in sprint teams to deliver high-quality software.
• Collaborate closely with the technical team, fostering strong partnerships and effective communication.
• Utilize excellent soft skills to manage change and drive continuous improvement within the QA function.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in quality assurance and software testing.
• Proven experience in developing and executing comprehensive testing scripts.
• Strong understanding of scalable QA practices and frameworks.
• Experience with building QA frameworks from the ground up.
• Familiarity with Kanban and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with technical teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing quality issues.
• Ability to manage change effectively and drive continuous improvement within the QA function.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
