Description We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our team based in Austin, Texas. This role involves working in the cybersecurity testing field, with a focus on developing and maintaining test automation frameworks and tools. The position offers a short term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct cybersecurity testing, leveraging a deep understanding of test automation frameworks and tools • Develop and maintain scripts using languages such as Python, Ruby, or JavaScript for test automation • Utilize security testing tools and methodologies, including but not limited to OWASP, Burp Suite, and automated security testing suites • Operate both Windows and Unix-based systems, understanding their inherent security challenges and testing requirements • Apply strong analytical skills to identify risks and vulnerabilities within the system and suggest mitigative actions • Interface with both internal and external stakeholders, articulating complex technical issues and solutions clearly • Work with Apache Struts, C++, Database, EO/IR systems, Hibernate ORM, AB Testing, Ajax, API Development, ASP.NET, CSS, Cyber Security, Cyber security engineering, Cyber security standards, Ruby on Rails, Python • Navigate the CI/CD pipeline effectively to ensure efficient software development and deployment processes.
Requirements • Proficiency in Apache Struts, C++, Hibernate ORM, AB Testing, Ajax, API Development, ASP.NET, CSS, Ruby on Rails, and Python is required. • Experience with Database management is essential. • Knowledge of EO/IR systems is necessary. • Familiarity with Cyber Security, Cyber security engineering, and Cyber security standards is a must. • Ability to work in a team and collaborate effectively with other team members. • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills. • Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC). • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently. • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred. • Experience in a similar role or relevant industry is desirable. • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git is beneficial. • Ability to work independently and take initiative when solving unexpected problems.
