Sr. Software Engineer (Remote Position)

Description

We are seeking a Sr. Software Engineer based in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts. The primary function of this role will be to enhance functionality, provide support, and propose architectural changes and improvements in our existing systems. This role will operate within an Agile/ITIL SDLC environment, leading in the design, development, implementation, integration, and continuous enhancement of applications.

Responsibilities:

• Independently understand and work within existing systems to propose necessary architectural changes and improvements.
• Perform problem analysis and propose solutions to technical problems.
• Work within an Agile/ITIL SDLC environment, including conducting inspections and post-implementation reviews when required.
• Create detailed technical design documents, code, and testing methodologies.
• Lead in the design, development, implementation, integration, production support, and continuous enhancement of applications to ensure reliable, integrated, and stable information repositories.
• Assist in technical audits and implement audit recommendations.
• Utilize skills in C++, Database, EO/IR systems, GitHub, Hibernate ORM, AB Testing, API Development, ASP.NET, Design, Framework, C# - Sharp in the execution of tasks and responsibilities.


Requirements

• Proficiency in C++ programming language
• Experience with Database management and operations
• Knowledge of EO/IR systems
• Familiarity with GitHub for version control and code sharing
• Understanding of Hibernate ORM for handling database operations
• Experience in AB Testing for optimizing user experience and system performance
• Proficiency in API Development for creating and managing APIs
• Knowledge of ASP.NET for web development
• Strong design skills for creating intuitive user interfaces
• Familiarity with various software development frameworks
• Proficiency in C# programming language
• Proven experience as a Sr. Software Engineer or similar role
• Strong problem-solving capabilities
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
