Description

We are offering a long-term remote contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant. The Sr. Accountant will play a crucial role in various accounting functions, such as managing accounts receivable and payable, handling payroll journals, and executing month-end close procedures. This role will be instrumental in maintaining the financial health and transparency of our operations.

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting tasks, including payroll journals and revenue recognition.

• Maintain and manage accounts receivable, ensuring all records are accurate and up-to-date.

• Oversee accounts payable, including reviewing and processing invoices.

• Conduct month-end close procedures in a timely and efficient manner.

• Utilize advanced MS Excel skills for tasks such as creating Pivot Tables and using VLOOKUP functions.

• Review and manage sales commission payments to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Perform account, balance sheet, and bank reconciliations as part of regular duties.

• Prepare and review journal entries, including month-end entries.

• Ensure strong communication within the team and exhibit a team-player attitude.

Requirements

• Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in an Accountant role or a similar capacity

• Proficient in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations

• Expertise in handling General Ledger and Journal Entries

• Proficient with Microsoft Excel

• Experience in Month End Close operations

• Familiarity with accounting software

• Ability to prepare and review Journal Entries, including Month-end Journal Entries

• Experience in managing Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP)

• Proficient in reviewing Invoices

• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is desirable

• Professional certifications such as CPA are a plus.
