Description We are offering an opportunity for a Procurement Specialist located in Mclean, Virginia. The role emphasizes on coordinating procurement activities, managing contract renewals, and facilitating cross-functional department reviews. The successful candidate will work in a dynamic environment, where key responsibilities include contract audits and renewals, stakeholder communication, and data entry.
Responsibilities: • Oversee the completeness of contract renewals • Carry out data entry tasks in ContractWorks, updating department and stakeholder information as well as contract value • Conduct audits for all BUY tickets created within a given time frame to ensure all signed contracts are properly saved in ContractWorks • Assist with procurement renewals, including internal tracking and communication with business leads • Provide coverage for BUY board when the procurement analyst is unavailable • Facilitate cross-functional department reviews using the Jira ticketing system • Utilize Microsoft Excel for data organization and management • Deliver excellent customer service and maintain effective communication with stakeholders • Handle documentation tasks efficiently and accurately • Manage contract renewals and audits as part of corporate procurement responsibilities.
Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required • Excellent customer service skills • Ability to handle documentation effectively • Experience with JIRA is essential • Familiarity with contract renewals and contract audits • Experience in corporate procurement is necessary • Ability to handle procurement requests efficiently • Solid understanding of procurement processes and strategies • Strong negotiation and communication skills • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills • Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively • Excellent organizational and time management skills • Capacity to adapt to changing demands and challenges • Willingness to continually update skills and knowledge • Strong understanding of market dynamics and sound business judgement • Ability to build and maintain professional networks • Proven track record of managing multiple projects concurrently • Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.
