Description We are offering a dynamic role as a Collections Specialist based in Columbus, Georgia. In this position, your primary function will be to manage all aspects of our collection efforts, ensuring the timely collection of overdue accounts and clinical research studies. This role also entails handling email correspondence, assisting in AP/AR processing, creating invoices, and utilizing various software for daily tasks.
Responsibilities: • Manage collection efforts on overdue accounts and clinical research studies while maintaining positive customer relationships • Handle all email correspondence related to collections and invoice queries professionally and respectfully • Assist with accounts payable/accounts receivable (AP/AR) processing, ensuring accuracy in all financial affairs • Generate and send out invoices, and monitor the receipt of payments, communicating professionally with clients as necessary • Utilize software such as RealTime, Excel, and Clinical Conductor to manage and track collections, and to present reports • Perform routine audits of billing data for accuracy and initiate correction actions when necessary • Provide support for the monthly and year-end financial closing process • Adhere to all company policies and standards, and handle sensitive information confidentially • Use accounting software systems proficiently and effectively • Employ skills in collection processes, credit, and customer service to effectively perform job duties.
Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems • Familiarity with Accurint • Experience with Great Plains (GPAC) • Knowledge of IBM AS/400 • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel • Ability to perform Billing Functions • Understanding of Collection Processes • Experience as a Collector • Knowledge of Credit procedures • Strong Customer Service skills
