We are seeking a Data Engineer to join the team. The ideal candidate will turn data into information, information into insight and insight into business decisions and enable internal business users to make decisions based on data in a dynamic, fast-growing environment. Implement an operational and analytical reporting platform to support internal departments such as Marketing and Sales. This is a Remote position.

How you will make an impact

• Agility: Closely collaborate with our Product Owners to align priorities and development of platform. Ability to work on the development initiatives (multiple technologies) as part of a scrum team on sprint cycles.
• Innovation: Build a scalable ad-hoc business analytics platform with the structure and rigor of solving engineering problems.
• Platform: Able to architect, setup, administer and scale data pipeline and build integration through external/third-party APIs.
• Streamline: Define and follow standards, setup deployment automation and establish standard operating procedures.
• Enablement: Work with business analysts and data engineers to enable self-service analysis for data analysts within business teams
• Operate: Provide operational & production support for the self-service ad-hoc analytics. The internal data platform team is looking for a Data Engineer who can architect and build solutions across multiple data sources to deliver metrics/reporting use cases. This position is responsible to build and scale the data platform that works to provide business analytics. The role involves ownership and technical delivery, working closely with other members (BI engineer and infrastructure teams). Strong technical experience within enterprise software is essential.

Requirements

Skills Required:

• Experience building agile, loosely coupled and extensible data platform
• Experience ingestion of data from internal and third party sources and familiarity with data design principles
• Excellent SQL skills and experience with relational databases
• Proficiency in a major scripting language (e.g. Python)
• Strong communication skills and ability to discuss the product with PMs and business owners
• Self-starter who truly enjoys a fast-paced, innovative software start-up environment. An innate desire to deliver and a strong sense of teamwork
• Passionate about groundbreaking technology, enjoys creativity, and has strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in a relevant field (Data Engineer, Data Analyst, DW Engineer etc.)
• Experience with data warehouse technologies (Snowflake, Airflow, or similar), data pipelines (ELT or ETL), and relevant data modeling standard methodologies

Education: B.S. degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics or a similar quantitative field
