There's a career-building position for a Senior Accountant at Robert Half, specifically a short-term contract / temporary opportunity. Operating as a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Your responsibilities

- Operate with business partners to create compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls and provide support on special requests

- Put together Balance Sheet account reconciliations

- Organize quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors

- Implement monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP

- Analyze financial results (benchmarks, trends, performance metrics)

- Be a part of various department-wide initiatives

- Ready monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting

- Constantly improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

- Other projects as required

Requirements

- Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance

- Month-end Journal Entries experience desired

- Understanding of corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required

- 3+ years of overall general accounting experience

- Outstanding skills in analyzing financial data and promptly generating accurate reports

- Highly organized, attentive, has a sense of urgency, flexible and able to deal with frequent interruptions and changing priorities

- Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines

- Self-starter and strong ethical standards

- Proven ability to work and communication well with manager-level associates

- BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred

- Proficient in ERP systems

- Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity
