As a Senior Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Your responsibilities in this role

• - Grant tracking and reporting

- Operate with business partners to create compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls and provide support on special requests

- Ad-hoc projects as required

- Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

- Arrange quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors

- Participate in various department-wide initiatives

- Ready monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting

- Create analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)

- Administer monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP

Requirements

- Ability to handle multiple projects within strict deadlines

- If you can demonstrate proficiency in financial reporting systems, you might be the right person for this position

- Self-starter and strong ethical standards

- ERP system experience

- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills

- Proven knowledge of Subcontractors

- Experience with Liens

- Construction Cost experience desired

- Foundational knowledge in Yardi

- Expertise in Construction Accounting

- Job Cost experience

- Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus

- Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing, with functional department managers

- Aptitude for analyzing financial data and generating accurate reports in a timely manner

- 5+ years of overall general accounting experience

- Experience in SOX control execution/documentation

- Skilled in analytical, quantitative and social skills
