Description

As a Front-End developer you will be responsible for coding and maintaining the front-end of websites and blogs for our client's core brands. You will work in small, concentrated teams and influence projects from inception. It will be your job to take feedback from across departments and teams and apply it accordingly. Since you will be involved in the process from kickoff to QA, you will have the opportunity to impact processes and workflow, educate on industry trends, and influence the use of new technologies.

Major responsibilities

- Observe and track the latest developments and direction of web-based platforms

- Mentor web engineers to help them develop their technical proficiencies

- Complete other duties as assigned

- Collaborate with other developers to design, develop, test, implement and support new front-end applications, systems, and tools

- Work on internal documentation, training, and other special projects, as required

- Communicate effectively and clearly with internal and external clients

- Own technical leadership on client projects

- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional team members and teams

- Apply proper design principles to projects and frameworks

- Assist in recruiting and hiring of new Engineers

- Support and modify existing applications

- Maintain confidentiality of client credentials, components of statistical work, client documents and interfacing of their systems

- Perform training and research

- Create dynamic data-driven web experiences using various web-based APIs

- Initiate development standards and process improvements

- Supply accurate estimates of features


Requirements

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or relevant work experience

- Knowledgeable in multiple development methodologies

- Minimum 2 years' experience in architecting and delivering complex web-based applications

- Minimum 5 years' experience working as a developer writing code

- Minimum 3 years' experience working with common web frameworks

- Experience in communicating complex solutions to external clients, in a way that non-technical stakeholders would understand
