Robert Half is looking for a skilled Commissions Analyst to be part of a thriving company in the Medical Devices industry. Looking for work where you can become a key business partner in forecasting, performance reporting, and expense management? This Commissions Analyst position might be right for you. This person will conduct financial modeling on various financial products as well as measure, analyze and forecast performance in conjunction with operating plans. They will also advise management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives and prepare reports for management. This is a great opportunity for someone with at least one year as a Financial Analyst who is open to learning new skillsets.

This Financial Analyst role, which is a long-term contract / temporary employment opportunity, is based in the San Jose, California, area.

What you get to do every day

- Monitor monthly and quarterly performance by comparison of actuals versus expectations and enable business partners to handle their resources effectively

- Candidate that feels comfortable working with large amounts of information and handling expectations

- Contribute to weekly, quarterly and annual Area/Segment-level Bookings and P& L forecasting

- Work next to cross-functional partners in Accounting and Operations to execute against plans

- Work closely with Accounting on the monthly and quarterly financial close process

- Enable effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide forward-looking insight and decision support

- Drive monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions required

- Edit and manage forecasting reports

- Analyze performance to date and assess potential risks and opportunities

- Uncover the influencing factors that are driving performance and trends

Requirements

- Proficiency with Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools required

- Spreadsheet and ERP system experience recommended

- Strong communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations

- Solid understanding of compensation and commissions

- Skills in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly desired (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)

- BA/BS degree in finance or a related field

- Financial analysis & planning

- Eager problem-solver who listens for customer cues and actively resolves problems with grace and integrity

- Great written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
