Desktop Support Technician candidates will be interested in Robert Half's new job opening, if they have a flair for clearly breaking down and explaining convoluted technical information in a way that is easily understood by non-technical users. We are looking for a Tier 1-2 support Desktop Support Analyst to provide Windows/ Mac and Chromebook support. This Desktop Support Analyst position, which is a long-term contract / temporary to full-time opportunity, is located in San Jose, California.

Key responsibilities

- Asset management, Wi-FI and printer/ peripheral support

- Keep up, explore, and fix computer systems, hardware, printers, and computer peripherals

- Fix computer problems, and recommend appropriate action/solutions

- Supply computer desktop support in accordance with established policies and procedures

- Meet regularly and effectively with ticket submitters

- Give support on a variety of computer hardware and software issues by identifying, researching, and resolving technical problems

- Support records of daily data communication transactions, issues and remedial actions taken or installation activities

Requirements

- 3+ years of desktop support or other related experience

- VPNs (virtual private networks) experience

- Knowledgeable when it comes to Windows PC and Mac OS

- Google suites experience a plus
