Robert Half is looking for a Senior Accountant for a long-term contract / temporary opportunity. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, account analysis and reconciliations, financial statement preparation and consolidation, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Major responsibilities

- Work with internal and external auditors to coordinate quarterly reviews and testing

- Create analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)

- Ready monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting

- Function with business partners to ensure compliance with procedures and controls, corporate accounting policies, and provide support on special requests

- Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP

- Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

- Take part in various department-wide initiatives

- Other projects as necessary

- Formulate Balance Sheet account reconciliations

Requirements

- Outstanding analytical, quantitative and social skills

- Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines

- Knowledgeable of ERP systems

- Solid understanding of general ledger

- Microsoft Excel experience

- Command of non-profit fund accounting

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are a must

- Outstanding skills in analyzing financial data and promptly generating accurate reports

- Self-starter and strong ethical standards

- Familiarity with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required

- BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are highly desired

- Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment

- Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance

- Demonstrated skills in interacting effectively, both verbally and in writing, with functional managers

- You'll be successful in this position if you have financial reporting systems proficiency

- 3+ years of overall general accounting experience
