Robert Half Finance & Accounting, Contract Talent, is seeking an entry level Jr. Accountant for our client in Washington, DC! If you possess an analytical mind, organization and problem-solving skills, and are detail-oriented, we may have the opportunity for you. This role is a temporary role and is a great opportunity for learning new skill sets and gaining experience in this industry.

This entry level Accountant role will utilize critical thinking and knowledge of accounting, as well as financial reporting principles and practices.

As an entry level Accountant, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

-Analyzing financial information

-Preparing balance sheets

-Assisting with preparing budgets

-Resolving accounts payable or receivable issues

-Assisting with general ledger reconciliations

-Developing monthly financial statements (to include cash flow, profit and loss statements, and balance sheets)

-Assisting with month-end procedures

Requirements

-Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field

-1+ years of accounting experience

-Comfortable working in a team environment

-Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

-Intermediate Excel skills
